If this is your first time hiring a wedding planner, it’s completely understandable to have questions. A planner’s role is to be your expert guide, offering insight, resources, and support every step of the way. Below are answers to some frequently asked questions.

  • Absolutely not! Hiring a planner before you find your venue is the best first step. I can then help guide you to the best venue options based on your top priorities, guest size and budget.

  • Heather Hoesch Events is based in Orange County, CA and we regularly work all over California - especially Orange County, Ojai, Santa Barbara, Santa Ynez, Napa, Healdsburg, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Malibu & San Diego. In my 21+ years, I have worked in California, Hawaii, Mexico, Colorado, New York and am happy to go to the destination of your choice.

  • I am honored to work with just 8 couples each year to ensure each and every couple is supported and gets the time, energy and focus necessary for a smooth planning process and incredible wedding weekend. Unlike planners or companies that book every wedding possible, you can expect more of a concierge style service.

  • We start with an initial consultation to get to know each other and learn more about your wedding ideas and plans. Based on that, I will craft a custom proposal based on the services discussed. If the proposal is approved, a signature along with the initial deposit is required to start planning.

  • I, (Heather), will be your lead planner and main point of contact. However, I have the support of a virtual assistant during planning and associate planners on event days.

  • I suggest planning on investing $1,800-$2,500+ per guest for your wedding and reception. Additional for your additional weekend events.
